1948 It All Began with Gutters

In 1948, Claude Tomlinson and his father founded a gutter business in Iowa City. For almost 40 years, they provided the residents of Iowa City with top-notch gutter services that protected their homes and businesses from rain.

1985 A New Era

Tom and Sue Cannon purchased the gutter company from Claude Tomlinson in 1985. Throughout the remainder of the decade, they added a Cedar Rapids branch to the business and expanded the range of services offered.

1989 Strengthening Home Protection

Tomlinson Cannon introduced a basement waterproofing division.

1992 Addition of AeroSaw

Purchased Aerosaw, a concrete sawing and core drilling business, originally established in 1988.

1993 Expanding Services and Reaching New Markets

Tomlinson Cannon began foundation repair services and concrete leveling services. They continued their expansion with a new branch in the Quad Cities.

2005 Steady Growth

Under the leadership of Tom Cannon the company steadily operated and grew until the sale of the company in 2022.

2022 Keeping Homes Dry

Jordan and Lauren purchase Tomlinson Cannon from Jordan’s father, continuing the family legacy and leading the company into the future.
We advanced our offerings in roofing and siding, soffit and fascia, egress windows and more, and have refined our service delivery model to consistently delight our customers.

2025 Muscatine Gutters

Tomlinson Cannon acquires Muscatine Gutters, expanding our reach and continuing to provide trusted gutter services in the region.
